Equinox –
Summit N.J.
Equinox, rated as "The Best Gym in America" chose to renovate a former Ford dealership/ trolley car house for the company's flagship facility in NJ. Our structural and MEP team supplied the design engineering services for the over 30,000 sq ft., renovation. Engineering challenges of removing both load bearing and non-load bearing walls included a new front entry and canopy inclusive of a signature vanity piece of a grand barrel vault ceiling and a new pool. MEP team engineered state of the art heating, electrical, ventilation, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Allenhurst Beach Club-
Allenhurst, NJ
Ideally situated on the Atlantic Ocean the 20,000 sq ft., beach club had been battered for years by coastal storms. KSI was called in to evaluate pilings and other structural members that had been exposed to the elements. A wide oceanfront deck, snack bar, showers, 525,000 gallon salt water pool and wading pool were part of the scope. KSI performed an inspection and determined immediate attention was in fact necessary. Working with the Architect and the Board, KSI set a plan in place for the necessary repairs just in time for the opening of the summer season.
Monmouth Beach Club -
Monmouth Beach, NJ
KSI was responsible for the structural review of the existing pile supported structure serving as the beach club's main facility. We provided a feasibility study to access the relative costs and life expectancy of maintaining the existing facility versus demolition and reconstruction or renovation.
Centercourt Athletic Club -
Morristown, NJ
The original 80,000 sq ft., building was constructed in 1986. KSI provided design-engineering services of the existing Club for a comprehensive renovation inclusive of:

A challenge of keeping the Club open to members during the renovation was met with KSI's responsive and efficient design guidelines and flexible engineering staff.
Work Out World- Washington Township, Mercer County, NJ
Structural design of a new 43,000 sq ft., two-story gymnasium facility inclusive of MEP retail core and shell design. The project featured a two story center space with a wrap around mezzanine. The unique fac;ade was achieved with gage metal framing.
Jewish Community Center of Monmouth County - Ocean Twp., NJ
This project consisted of five phases including a new Gymnasium, three story Fitness Center, New Kitchen and Office area, a new Classroom Wing and a New
500 seat Auditorium. All of the phases were additions to the existing campus.
